I can’t wait for the Brooklyn half-marathon tanning! I will learn so much.
After 10 10-year hiatus, I returned to running for mental health and did the 2022 NYC half. For people returning from a hiatus, find a race and do it for charity; this was my motivation.
I have just started running again after a 7 year break. Been doing Peleton and rowing 3 days a week, 45 min on bike, 20 min on rowing machine. How many miles a week should I start out with , how many days, how long? I can run flat and hills in my area in North Carolina? Thabks
Coach, I recently started running at the gym again after a 5-year hiatus, but the treadmill isn't the way I want to do it. Can you point me toward a good "couch-to-5K" program that lets me break back into stride without too much pain?
I'm training for the NY Half in the 17 of March. Last Sunday was my long run for the week, and sure enough, I felt like i was running on non-responsive stilts. This week has felt a bit better, but yeah, that was hard to get through!
You’re so close!!! I know you’re feeling it now--3 weeks to go is that funny so-close-and-yet-so-far territory. But SO SOON you’ll be tapering in the sunshine!

At 79 I am training for a 5K with a killer hill at the end. Hopefully, I’ll run sanely and walk if I must. It’s better to finish upright.

The spirit is willing, the body is a bit ......sludgy, creaky and wooden. I tarry on. two miles on the machine today. Thanks for the push.
We’re all in it together. It’s a creaky, wooden time of year. Keep us posted as the miles start to feel more....human!!
